Re: New Dreamcast Game
Good stuff, subscribed.
Don't worry about effects like destructible objects, getting the basics right is more important. Your decision to batch objects from a single instance is wise, given the DC's limitations. Having lots of cool stuff in the scenery is better than having a few dynamic objects.
Static lighting can help a lot to make individual objects stand out separately. Making each desk be lit in a different way may be more effective than changing the state of the mesh.

Re: New Dreamcast Game
Lol I like the thug with the pantyhose mask!
But, I think this new one is much better
I do not want to give many details of our game name or story quite yet, but here are some offline rendering of the main villain:

Re: New Dreamcast Game
LOL that is actually a good idea, maybe a voice actor can replicate his voice (cuz having the real one is most likely not going to happen)cube_b3 wrote:Vinnie Jones is in the game?
He better have his accent.

Re: New Dreamcast Game
As long as I am given in game credit for it.
Don't worry, my lawyers will mail in the paper work on how we handle the royalties.
Anyway if you are looking for a foreign accent I would really enjoy lending my voice.

Re: New Dreamcast Game
Fantastic work by all involved. The splitscreen shots posted in another thread are particularly exciting.
Great to see a DC project with such ambition. Keep up the good work!

Re: New Dreamcast Game
Niice! I wonder what bumpmaps and specular maps would do for this scene. So much metal..
