No problem. Are you planning on making a sequel?Matisfaction wrote:Glad you enjoyed it...
Dishonored (360)
Pretty good, but the graphics are awful. Reminds me a lot of Deus Ex: HR, which definitely isn't a bad thing. The dystopia/victorian/steam-punk setting is also very nice and a bit unique.

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Well, I didn't manage to finish Dishonored in time because...
My copy of Assassin's Creed 3 has shipped! It's the only game I've been hyped for all year. The series has always been a flawed gem in my eyes, and to be honest, those flaws will probably still be present. However, it's a new time, a new location, a new character AND the conclusion of Desmond's story. I'm expecting GOTY.

Bought WWE 13 for the Wii. I really like the attitude era that u can play through and the overall controls, but the Wii version seems to move slow as far,as frame rate I'd concerned.

I couldn't get into it and sold it right away while it still had value. I'm also not an Assassin's Creed fan, and that's what it felt like to me, a first person Assassin's Creed. And yes, the graphics are indeed hideous, which is surprising for a Bethesda game.Specially Cork wrote:No problem. Are you planning on making a sequel?Matisfaction wrote:Glad you enjoyed it...

Got Best Buy to pricematch Gamestop's Power Up Rewards sale somehow, so I got 50% off Sony collections for PS3:
Jak & Daxter Collection - $10
Ratchet & Clank Collection - $15
Ico & Shadow of the Collossus - $10
Infamous Collection - $15
God of War Saga - $20
Killzone Trilogy - $20

Well, that was a fitting end to a shit year of games. What a disappointment. Words fail me. It's so beautiful and huge and detailed but so...average in everything else. Really needed another year in development.Specially Cork wrote:My copy of Assassin's Creed 3 has shipped! It's the only game I've been hyped for all year. Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Indeed it is. We got the cartridge of it last year (it was part of an eBay lot with some other things we wanted), and I figured I'd give it a try since I'd never played it before.Smiley wrote:Bought that Kirby collection for the Wii. Omg the one for n64 is a turd.
It's unarguably the worst Kirby game I've played. The ones I have played are:
- Dream Land (Game Boy)
- Adventure (NES)
- Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
- Dream Land 3 (SNES)
- Super Star (SNES)
- 64
- Nightmare in Dreamland (GBA remake of the NES game)
- Epic Yarn (Wii)
Of course, I was never a big fan of the N64 to begin with. I'd rather have 2D games than first-generation 3D games; both the graphics and the gameplay are clunky and unrefined, and don't age well. The 64 had very few 2D titles, because the system did not actually handle 2D graphics natively. The controller design is atrocious and has the worst build quality of any first-party controller I can remember, the game library is severely lacking, and... well, to be honest, I just don't like that console generation very much overall.
That's not to say there weren't some good games, but I find myself going back to the N64 much less often than any of the other consoles we own. And while I love the idea of new releases for old platforms in general (we have Pier Solar for Genesis, Battle Kid and Nomolos for NES, and most of the DC titles you'd expect), I don't think I'd buy a new N64 title. I'd either skip it or wait for it to come out on another platform.
...wow, sorry about that. I just *really* don't like the N64. Not only is it the only Nintendo console I flat-out don't like (the NES was gaming in its day, the SNES was my favorite console until emulation and rereleases made that question impossible to answer, GameCube was my favorite console of its generation, the Wii earned its keep, and Nintendo has never disappointed with a handheld... and call me weird, but I even got a kick out of the Virtual Boy), but it was the worst console in what to me was a very uninteresting generation of consoles to begin with. I know that generation was very important historically in the evolution of games, but it was an transitional step--and most of the games from that era FEEL that way.

Wow, it's been a long time since I bought a game.
Eva's dad got us a WiiU Deluxe for Christmas, and her mother gave us some money that we used to get Super Mario. I'll let you know how it is once this gigantz0r firmware update finishes

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
Haven't gotten the PS3 fixed yet, so I've been picking off the last few Wii games that I never got around to buying:
- Overlord: Dark Legend
- Bit.Trip Complete
- Rayman Origins
- Rhythm Heaven Fever
There are now less than half a dozen Wii games left on my video game want-list before my collecting for the platform is "complete." Need to get more accessories, though, as we aren't properly equipped for 4-player multiplayer on the Wii U. (Side note: after 10 years of using GameCube controllers for Smash Bros., having to learn another system is somewhat jarring.)
Also got The World Ends with You for DS.

PS3's still broken. I'd rather take the version I can play than the prettier version I can't play.Specially Cork wrote:Really screwing yourself over not going for the HD version of that. It's absolutely beautiful.DaMadFiddler wrote:Rayman Origins

That's my point. It's worth waiting for the opportunity to play the HD version. It's never going to age badly. Save it for a backlog treat in years to come.DaMadFiddler wrote:PS3's still broken. Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...
If he has a game now and is going to play it now, it doesn't matter what version he's playing. So what if it's 480p, it's still a great game with great graphics. Waiting for the PS3 version just because it's eye candy won't do him any good if it's stuck in a backlog that he will never get to. I had the 360 version of Rayman Origins, and I sold it in favor of the Wii version just because I had 4 Wii remotes and my buddies wanted to play it. If I would have said, 'sorry guys, I want pretty graphics,' I would have been stuck playing it solo and ultimately would have never played it.
