My favorite would be some kind of mix of Goofus and Gallant - you'd get Neo-Nazis like Alex Jones, Jeff Rense or Webster Tarpley.
Insane homebrew collector.

...okay, that is awesome!
^ he thinks the government funded the video.
And, yes, Disney might have been anti-communist during the 50s, but you can be sure that he wouldn't have been happy with the US turning into some third world country. Disney lived at a time when there was no unemployment and people had a lot of money.

Yes, standing up for freedom of religion/speech and gun ownership is the same thing as enforcing one specific religion through gun ownership (and don't even try to go outside of your boundaries within Sharia Law!)DaMadFiddler wrote:

Some might view the Tea Party movement as an attempt to create Christian Sharia Law in America.Eviltaco64X wrote:Yes, standing up for freedom of religion/speech and gun ownership is the same thing as enforcing one specific religion through gun ownership (and don't even try to go outside of your boundaries within Sharia Law!)DaMadFiddler wrote:http://images2.dailykosbeta.com/i/user/ ... trated.jpg

Re: The Funny Political Pictures Thread
Well, fuck anyone that is. I don't see that in a lot of the people I've run into that agree with the Tea Party, though. A lot of people from my area in support of it are small business owners that are tired of regulation. They have nothing to do with the gun-totin' redneck outbursts you see on TV. All movements, especially large ones, have their extremists.pixel wrote:Some might view the Tea Party movement as an attempt to create Christian Sharia Law in America.Eviltaco64X wrote:Yes, standing up for freedom of religion/speech and gun ownership is the same thing as enforcing one specific religion through gun ownership (and don't even try to go outside of your boundaries within Sharia Law!)DaMadFiddler wrote:http://images2.dailykosbeta.com/i/user/ ... trated.jpg
I think the people in support of it are all branded and labeled because of a handful of negative events that are played into the ground.
These same people that are hated by so many on the internet are also currently fighting for net neutrality in the House. Isn't it ironic?

Re: The Funny Political Pictures Thread
How so? Doesn't pure net neutrality require a fully hands-off approach? I'm not talking about the FCC's idea of what it is either.DaMadFiddler wrote:...by working to elect people who are specifically trying to BLOCK any effort to enforce net neutrality? The conservatives were fighting to upkeep the classical traditions that have made the internet what it is, and a lot of democrats voted against it. I didn't even get this from any news source, I actually saw it live on C-SPAN sometime last week (which makes me wonder why I even have cable in the first place if THAT'S the only thing on).
This is an entirely different argument, though, and I hope that we all have the same beliefs regarding the internet.

Re: The Funny Political Pictures Thread
Exactly wrong. By the very nature of it, if you want net neutrality, it means you have to regulate ISPs. Otherwise they can (and eventually will) undermine what we think of as net neutrality. They don't want to be dumb pipes. The FCC's proposal is seriously flawed, but a continued lack of regulation will lead to the end of any semblance of net neutrality.Eviltaco64X wrote:How so?
