DC Flash Player

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

In PlanetWeb Browsers 2.0, 2.6, and 3.0. They only used versions three and four (five would have been really nice to have).

I think it's because there's already flash support in the browsers...

Maybe we should ask Scherzo himself about that flash player. I've never heard anything of it.

Finally I`ve found it !
DC-Flash 0.1beta readme:
This is a implementation of a Flash compatible player for the Sega Dreamcast
using source from the GPLFlash project. It's compatibility and performance
are not perfect, yet many movies play suprisingly well. Movies that use
advanced effects from Flash 5 and 6 or use any ActionScript may not render
or behave correctly. Sound is also not supported yet.
Too bad that developpement has stopped . :(

Thank you very much. I'll try to write a wiki entry about this.

I remember this. I think it was my first project for DC. I was waiting for GPLFlash to release a new version, but I believe the project was discontinued in favor of a new open-source Flash player... which was then discontinued as well. Some movies work pretty nicely.
