I've never met anybody in China or Japan who has heard of this variant. I can't really blame them - I find it annoying having to rebuild a Jenga tower. It certainly isn't the same "same game" as whatever this blurb is referring to.
Well maybe goat store should drop the price and get rid of the remaining units cause Japanese games now have Mahjong featured as a mini game such as the crappy Yakuza 2 for ps2.

I was told this by a Malaysian friend of mine who learned it from her grandmother =\. Building the shape isn't all that more annoying than setting up a game of solitaire with cards. It may also be that it's an American immigrant-born thing.
