Elysian Shadows Funded *Update: $170K Goal Reached!*
The Kickstarter campaign for the heavily anticipated "Next-Gen 2D RPG" Elysian Shadows has now hit its funding goal of $150,000! After a week or so of slowing down, donations surged after the recent announcement that the Elysian Shadows Toolkit would be released alongside the game if the project were funded.

This is going to get big. I've seen the counter increase with more 20 backers in some minutes, and it's at 157K already.

I would say this will be the most significant homebrew title released on the Dreamcast to date.
Finally, we will see something that is not a 2D shoot-em-up!

Nice! Sorry to see that cloud saves, local multiplayer, and online fell off the list of stretch goals... but given the funding levels and the amount of extra effort required (especially for online play) I guess they were always a bit of a stretch anyway 
Not to mention the practical barriers to running an MMO for Dreamcast.

All right, finally got off my ass and backed this thing.
This is one of only two Kickstarters I've ever backed (the other is Pier Solar HD). I'm pretty skeptical of Kickstarter as a concept, but this I can definitely get behind.
