Oddly enough, Philly has nothing to do with the cream cheese it was named after. The brand was actually started in New York. As a non-American whenever I see Philadelphia Cream Cheese all it reminds me of is Tom Hanks, AIDS and Bruce Springsteen. Then I feel compelled to buy it.
