It apparently uses something called Lua, (http://www.lua.org) so it might be a bit difficult to do.

Actually I think LUA is usable on the Dreamcast.

Lua is a scripting language that works closely with c++. So it may be quite a challenge to port. But, it should definitely be possible.

I'll say it again:

Actually I think LUA is usable on the Dreamcast.

Looks like I was correct.

And that's from the 1.3.x branch. I'm sure the current subversion source would have a more advanced port (if it exists).

Well, here's some additional encouragement to get this game on Dreamcast. It has been ported to the PSP already...

http://forum.t-o-m-e.net/viewtopic.php?t=6408

maybe these sources would be useful for porting it to Dreamcast?

Only 2 requests:

1. Please let it support mods (the regular tome already does this), you just drop the files in the mods folder
2. Please make some method of backing up your character (I know, it's cheating, I'm bad)

also, I port with the graphical tiles available would be cool, but if not, that's fine.

That would be great. I played this game and other Angband variants (I suppose there are some more sources available). Much fun and depth, especially for a freeware game!

I couldn't stand playing it with ascii-set though.
