Need Help with Genesis Plus DC Emulator
Hi there, I need some help creating a disc with games. Im not computer savy enough to follow the directions at the site so could someone please step me through it? Ive downloaded both the files from dcemulation.org but I have no idea what to do with them. I have disc juggler and have made working copies of Dreamsnes and Nester DC. Im just stuck and any help would be appreciated!

Re: Need Help with Genesis Plus DC Emulator
Well there are plenty of people here who can help you.
But it doesn't appear that they are going too.
I have personally never burned an emulator, I am more of a retail game buying kind of guy.
Welcome to the forums and good luck.

Seriously, why do you think that posting this would be constructive?cube_b3 wrote:Well there are plenty of people here who can help you.

I saw the post and I'm happy and willing to help out, but I don't have time at the moment to write an entire tutorial on burning Genesis Plus DC.
Please let me know what step of the tutorials available on the Genesis Plus DC page are tripping you up and I would be more than happy to assist in getting you past it.
It's thinking...
Re: Need Help with Genesis Plus DC Emulator
So I need to create a roms list. Do I need to type out every game in the file for example like this sonic.zip sonic. All the way down through all my games?
There is also two versions of the emulator which version should I use.
Then to burn I just use boots dreams and make a image and burn the image right.

Maybe this helps: http://www.dreamcast-scene.com/_classic ... C?#romstxt
I wrote that a long time ago so I am not sure I can help a whole lot beyond providing this link but we'll see.

Re: Need Help with Genesis Plus DC Emulator
Yeah, I just ended up typing out a ROMs list myself. It's a bit of a pain, but you just kinda have to do it. if it helps, here's an example list:
it should be called "ROMS.txt"
The roms go in a folder inside the data folder (which is in turn inside of the gpwt folder) called ROMS
after that, yeah, it should be pretty self explanitory to tell boot dreams to burn or make an image out of the main folder that includes gpwt 1stread.bin, etc.
ROMS.txt also goes into the data folder.
.smd format will not work, but I think .gen format might be supported. That's an easy way to get tripped up.
Anything else that you're having trouble with?
Code: Select all
Sonic2.bin Sonic the Hedghog 2
S3K.bin Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles
vectorman2.bin Vectorman 2
P-STAR4.bin Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millenium
Beyond_Oasis_(U)_[f1].bin Beyond Oasis
Panorama_Cotton.bin Panorama Cotton
bloodlines.zip Castlevania Bloodlines
gunstar.zip Gunstar Heroes
