Re: Tell me.
That will allow a PS/2 keyboard to be used on the DC, not the other way around.SuperMegatron wrote:http://www.consolesandgadgets.co.uk/cat ... p-149.html

1.) I'm just that much of a DC fanboy.
2.) It's the best keyboard I've ever used.

Re: Tell me.
Oh well.
"The Dreamcast keyboard has a completely different encoder, so it's not
just a matter of rewiring it. You'd have to have a PIC or some other chip
in between to translate between the DC encoder and the normal PC or USB
interface. As far as I know, there's never been such a device built. There
have been only devices that do the reverse, allowing a PC keyboard to be
used on the Dreamcast console."

Re: Tell me.
Actually, on thinking about it, marcus' plans for a DC->USB adapter should work for a keyboard, you'd simply have to expand the software for it, both the microcontroller software and whatever the windows interface is.

Hi Jeeba,
DMF already has the market sewn up for making useless old pieces of obsolete hardware do things they were never supposed to do, get your own niche.

Re: Tell me.
There was always something unique about that keyboard that rubbed me the right way. Even as it laid on my dresser in my old bedroom, unplugged and out of use, I used to always tap my fingers across it.
Also, I just wanted dork points.

Re: Tell me.
If you want the best keyboard out there, can't beat Unicomp.
