I came here as soon as I heard about tonight's game:

The Saints lose to … The Cowboys?

May I be the first the first non-Saints fan to extend my sympathies. It sucks to lose, but to the craptastic gang from Dallas? I'm sorry.

How does everyone else feel about the playoffs this year? It's crazy to hear teams like the Bengals are working their way into the post-season.

I'm kinda offended. I think this just shows what the Cowboys are capable of. They played well and deserved the win.

Yeah, I was quite upset last night, as I would have much preferred beating Dallas and losing to Tampa Bay next week (as crazy as that would be). The Saints have just been coming out flat week after week, and going into a frenzy near the end to rally for a win (besides the Pats game obviously). We just ran out of time last night, had there been a fifth quarter we would have won the game. We had a lot of injuries last night as well. But these aren't excuses, we lost and credit to the Cowboys for being mediocre enough to let the Saints beat themselves when the clock hit 0.

Even so, if we weren't going to go undefeated this was the best time for a loss. Hopefully our team will regroup, realize that they will have to put in more effort to win out as victory isn't inevitable, and with a vengeance we will smash the Bucs, Panthers, Cowboys again, Vikes, and Colts.

I was saying all week that the Saints would lose my Cowboys but none of my friends would have any of it assuming I was just some rambling deranged fan. The Saints were bound to lose because they have had so many lucky close calls and because they were undefeated, with the Cowboys being the last winning team on the schedule I just figured they would lose.

The NFC looks like its been settled with the Cardinals, Eagles, Vikings, Saints, Packers, and most likely Cowboys making the playoffs and if I had to go with my gut I would say that either the Packers or the winner of the Eagles/Cowboys game will make the Super Bowl. I am not that sure about the mess that is the AFC but it will probably come down to the Chargers and Colts with the Chargers pulling off the upset.

I'm still pulling for the Ravens, even though their chances of making their way through the post-season are pretty grim.

Although, with all the good stuff for the Ravens that went on this week (Jaguars, Jets, Dolphins, Broncos, and Bengals all losing), maybe there's still a chance yet.

Heck, if the Bengals lose out, there's still a chance the Ravens might take the AFC North crown.

Our linebackers are better on guarding the pass. That said, we can't stop the run. Especially without Ellis. That's how Dallas beat us. That's how anyone will beat us.

Interesting assessment, considering Drew Brees completes more passes (70.6 percent to 68.8) while throwing farther (8.54 yards per attempt to 7.88), scoring more touchdowns (34 TDs to 33), giving up fewer interceptions (11 INTs to 16), being pressured more (having been sacked 20 times to Manning's 10), all while gaining more yards than Manning does (293 yards/game versus 281). This is all apparent in their QB ratings (Brees's 109.6 to Manning's 99.9).

Oh, I forgot, Manning wins the "media love" category, which pretty much accounts for everything.

Colts got the game out of his hands after the inside kick in the third quarter & Saints took all the rigth decisions.......the season is over and sunday mornings and monday nigths become borring again..... can wait next season ...........
