Iwata(Nintendo president) is going to talk some s about Nintendo's direction at i beleive 9pm on friday(tomorrow). Lots of people including me are hoping he will unveil the new Revolution controller, which to me is the final name, according to this pic:
See the controller at the bottom of the pic? Looks like you twist the controller in a gyroscopic way, and the Revolution logo looks official. Fingers crossed(btw there are lots of threads on this in the past, but...there is going to be new Nintendo news tomorrow, regardless of what Iwata does or doesnt say about the Rev's controller).
from spong.com:
SPOnG can finally confirm the date by which the world will be relieved of the constant burden of wondering about what Nintendo?s Revolution controller actually is.
You?ll be pleased to know that a full explanation of Revolution will be made by Nintendo president Satoru Iwata during his Tokyo Game Show keynote address. This news represents completely finalised Nintendo plans ? Iwata will fully outline The Secret on 16th September 2005.
Nintendo is assembling key media to attend this year?s show, due to take place between 16th ? 18th September 2005. Iwata will make his presentation of current activities at Nintendo. He will outline current projects and will then - unveil the Revolution in all its glory.
The Revolution presentation will include an explicit outline of the hardware and its controller and input mechanic, as well as illustrate exactly how it will work. It will go on to show games running on the system and how they make use of the technology.
Mario 128, or ?New Mario? as it is dubbed internally at Nintendo, is expected to be the star of the show.
SPOnG has a record of perfectly outlining what Iwata?s keynote addresses will entail. And we can tell you with 100% certainty that in the next three and a bit weeks, we?ll all be looking at Nintendo Revolution controller hardware and accompanying games. Exciting times indeed.
We?ll bring you updates as they break, as well as Tokyo Game Show coverage direct from the show floor. Let us know what you think, and drop any questions for SPOnG?s editorial staff in the forum below.

I hope the public perception of this twisting innovation wont be similar to the DS touch-screen thing.
It seems all DS games get slated by a lot of people unless they make proper use of the touch-screen facility, which I think is a shame, because not every game needs touch-screen. But it seems that developers feel oblidged to use it, and cant just make a game that only uses the other aspects of the DS hardware.
If the same thing ends up happening with the revolution, I feel third-party support will just get pushed away once again, because not every game will need a 'twist' feature.
I read from IGN, that the controller would be revealed on friday in Japan's Time. (thursay night for us, which should be any time soon). SO i'm guessing by midnight there should be some cold hard info.
I had this frikin idea a year ago, two controllers in one hand, like a separated controller. However, the tilt sensitivity wasnt what i thought of.http://4colorrebellion.com

I can see how that controller will innovate with some games, but I have this feeling that Nintendo put the Gamecube controller ports in the Revolution for a reason; most companies just porting games to all three consoles will more than likely just say hell to the 'remote' and support the traditional controller. Personally, I think its a creative idea for companies that want to try something new, and the fact that companies have the option to just use traditional Gamecube controller makes the Revolution a nice package. I'm still for it all.
