What's your favorite console war
What is your favorite console war era. Mines would have to be the 16-bit wars, because of the amount of creativity involved with the technology. Sega tried Sega CD, and 32X. Nintendo had it's super scope 6 which unfortunately never got a chance to flourish. Even Panasonic threw it's hat in with the 3DO and we saw a super-brief comeback by atari with the jaguar. That had to be the most crowded system war I ever saw, there's probably some other companies I forgot about, but anyway that's mine. I hope to get some replies. Thanks.

SNES vs Genesis. I was a SNES boy. I was respectful of Genesis titles like Road Rash, Sonic, and Streets of Rage. But I had STARFOX, MARIO KART, and of course MODE7. Where's your MODE7 Genesis? Oh, I'm sorry, you don't have it. HAHA! You need a monster expansion called 32X to do anything like it. I don't care if your main CPU is faster than the SNES's. You don't seem to use it very well. And stop banging those pots and pans together! My mistake. You're just trying to make music. Poor Genesis. SNES music sounds symphonic, biatch!

I wouldn't say crap, but I would say that the hype usually does not live up to reality, and that games are usually marketed on hype and graphics rather than more important elements such as gameplay, etc.[/b]Dreamcast4life wrote:I personally liked the 16 bit era, games were more enjoyable and the hype was more exciting , now the gaming age is........crap but that is my opinion.

agreed, I can't play games for more then 2 hours now, I just can't get into them, the last game that captured my interest was Mega man 64, I am dead serious.

I never participated in the 16-bit war nor really follow it very closely. My friend had a genesis and I got to watch him play all the sonics. It was pretty much out of the question about me getting a new system after my NES for a long time. I didn't get either my SNES or Genesis until 1996, so everything I played was well past new. Two years later I got my PS and then shortly after N64. Ever since then, with the Internet, I've been on top of gaming trends.
