PINELLAS PARK, Fla. (AP) - As Terri Schiavo entered her 12th full day without food or water, the Rev. Jesse Jackson prayed with her parents Tuesday and joined conservatives in calling for state lawmakers to order her feeding tube reinserted. The former Democratic presidential candidate was invited by Schiavo's parents to meet with activists outside Schiavo's hospice. His arrival was greeted by some applause and cries of "This is about civil rights!" "I feel so passionate about this injustice being done, how unnecessary it is to deny her a feeding tube, water, not even ice to be used for her parched lips," he said. "This is a moral issue and it transcends politics and family disputes."
its a hell of a situation.i want to side on saving her,but yet dont know enough about the inner workings of the family,what her true views were,etc..makes it ahrd to say how i really feel.if she truly didnt want to be on life support,then that would be my view as well..what she wanted..but hell who knows now.
I saw Jesse Jackson on FoxNews today praising Johnnie Cochran as a black lawyer that all lawyers looked up to in so many words. I'm not even trying to point out the racist distinction that Jackson is always sure to make but that he's praising Cochran, a man who knew O.J. Simpson was guilty yet still represented him.

He "knew" he was guilty? How do you know? And in any case, guilt or innocence isn't particularly relevant - everyone deserves good legal representation.

jackson is a jackass but theres no reason to condem a man for actually supporting a good cause.
i don't know much about jesse jackson seeing as i'm not from the US, everything i've ever red that was written by him though was brilliant. seems to be the only person in journalism in the US who tells like it is about the fucked up american government... you'll have to explain to me what's wrong with the guy.

souLLy, it comes down to jesse jackson is a racsist, and usually only backs black people, or is always trying to say that the white man holds black people down. Its OK sometimes, but all the time makes it tiresome. This is the first non black cause I have ever seen him be associated with, and Im pretty sure he is only using it to get ahead like everyone else.
