I think you need action replay/ game shark or region x. I used the first technique described on this page for pgen and snes station. I have AR2, and I just had to hit X to start the game (not R1 and O like it says).

my xbox chip works fine i just wondering what i can use with my sbox on the ps2 besides a gameshark that thing is expensive as hell and i dont cheat so it has not other use for me

i bought a GS2 to boot disk on my no solder mod

i never use it for cheats tho. 99% of them are usless anyways, and since you can save your game now a days.

back in the day before battery backup, they where very usefull on games.

now they have no definate use.

Original Gamesharks and Action Replay's for ps2 need the dongle. If any copied versions exist, there's no way they work. The sbox can't boot any unofficial ps2 media by itself. Region X is supposed to work too, but I don't know if t that's any cheaper.
