OK. So I'm new to the dreamcast. I'm new to emulators. I've been reading for a while, but I still don't get it. It's all very confusing to me.
OK. So I want to burn SMSPlusDC http://www.dcevolution.net/index.php?id ... 00_edition and i downloaded that file.
Then I downloaded bootdreams. So I tried burning it and what not. But it keeps telling me something about an ASPI. So I googled it. Found a link to download this driver. Did that. But when I try and install this driver thing, it won't! Now I'm stuck. What did I do wrong? I have Win XP SP3 on my cpu (which is almost 4 years old). Help please.
Bootdreams, ASPI, CDI, SMSPlusdc. AHH!! Help...

I would recommend FrogASPI: http://www.frogaspi.org/download.htm
but from what I remember, newer versions of BootDreams, such as v106, already do include the required ASPI drivers: http://dchelp.dcemulation.org/?BootDreams

Not to knock Bootdreams, it's great for creating images, but I've never been able to burn with it.
I just use Alcohol 120 to burn cdi images, or you could look into Discjuggler, I've heard it's good for DC cdi images too.

Ok, so I went there and downloaded 1.0.6 (it wouldn't let me extract a,b,or c without an error. I don't know). How the hell do I install it? I got it, unzipped it, and nothing. Just a bunch of files and folders. Man, I really hate computers! So complicated...Christuserloeser wrote:I would recommend FrogASPI: http://www.frogaspi.org/download.htm

You've downloaded the source code which is available so other programmers can add features, fix bugs or study the code.
What you should download is this: http://dchelp.dcemulation.org/?download ... s_106c.exe
- it is an installer that will automatically set up the program properly so all you need to do is to click on BootDreams.exe in C:\BootDreams\.
