DaedalusDC released!

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

If it does indeed work on Dreamcast, I wonder how he managed it.

Pretty much the same way anything else is ported to Dreamcast, I guess. SM64 is only 64Mbit, which leaves plenty for N64 RAM and the emulator itself. I'm a bit surprised at the speed, though, since the doc says it's running a pure interpreter (though I assume this only refers to the main CPU, and that it's still doing high-level microcode emulation for the RSP). Maybe SM64's gameplay just isn't very CPU-intensive.
