Building Dreamcast oriented website

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Building Dreamcast oriented website

Post by Outrunner »

Hello guys,

I'm currently working on a website that is designed for the Dreamcast browsers, one of the features I want on that website is to put a link for an IRC channel that initiates the irc client from the browser and directly connects to the server and channel, I got it working on Planetweb because the request script its actually simple, its just "pwchat://servername/#channelname", but on XDP I'm not sure on how to make it, I believe I have to use the "x-avefront://---.dream/proc/menu/urlchat" but from there I don't know how to make that line redirect the user to the server and channel, anyone can help please?

Thank you in advance.
