Turbo Graphix
Hey everyone. Sorry for asking, but I've been searching everywhere and can't find anything so I decided to ask. Are there any Turbo Graphix emulators for the DC? If not, is there a PC emulator that actually runs at a decent speed? Thanks for your time.

there is hugo for pc, and there is a very very beta (doen't run full speed, you can't select rom after rom without rebooting. Please don't pm or bug quzar , he's a a very busy guy right now, and he's got his hands tied with other projects. if you, however "must have", and emu for tg16/ pcengine, there is magicengine and it costs money. is it worh it?? i dunno, a frend of mine bought it and runs it on his pc like every week or more, and he dug it.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the help. By the way, sorry to get offtopic, but i have a friend who was into nintendo all his life until sony came around and now he's an extreme PS2 fanboy. He never owned a sega system and only sees the fact that sega's gone and he conisders that they're losers. What games should he play on sega systems that he might like? He loves RPGs, shooters, and platformers. Thanks again and sorry for getting offtopic.

He loves RPG's? Then he might love:
Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Sega Saturn.
The Shining Force Series for the Sega Genesis and Sega Saturn. Part 3 is on the Sega Saturn.
He loves Platformers? Then he might love:
Burning Rangers for the Sega Saturn
Jet Grind Radio for the Sega Dreamcast
Bug! and Bug Too! for the Sega Saturn
Astal for the Sega Saturn
Mr. Bones for the Sega Saturn
Clockwork Knight 1 and 2 for the Sega Saturn
The Entire Sonic The Hedgehog Series, available on the many previous Sega Systems.
He loves Shooters? Then he might love:
The Panzer Dragoon Series for The Sega Saturn, not to be confused with Pander Dragoon Saga, which is the RPG version.
I cannot think of any other Sega Specific shooters at this time, but I'm sure someone else on this board will think of something.

So if Sony quit manufacturing game systems and focused solely on software titles for other companies would your friend consider them to be losers too? Ask him for me.jessman wrote:i have a friend who was into nintendo all his life until sony came around and now he's an extreme PS2 fanboy. Yeah, I am actually the only one aloud to bug Quzar about things. Basically he is starting college, plus I think he told me his PC is having problems. Donna Donna is a pretty cool guy.obelisk wrote:there is hugo for pc, and there is a very very beta (doen't run full speed, you can't select rom after rom without rebooting. Edit. There is one thing I wish he would have released, hell I would have gladily gave a hand with graphics on this one. It was a odd Tag game. Very very interesting. Quzar, can you remind me what that was about again? I know it was a while ago while Reeper was around.

You can also just do a google search and spell it properly: TurboGrafX or Turbo GrafX or TurboGrafX16 or even TG16. But as someone else stated, it is also known as PC Engine/PCEngine.jessman wrote:Hey everyone. Sorry for asking, but I've been searching everywhere and can't find anything so I decided to ask. Yeah ask him for me too, since sony sux anyways, too many sequels and same old games, nothing original on the PS2. Ps2= POS in my book, DC is the better system.jessman wrote:

YAME is good (better than MagicEngine with the CD titles) but you have to decrypt US games using PCEToy32.

That tag demo sounds interesting.
I am still for merging the NeoDC project with Neo4All - that should lighten your workload and would boost both projects.
If you were to fix the HuCast port:
- A full screen fix would be fantastic and shouldn't affect speed.
- A 'Go back to the ROM selection' key combination would be great.
- Free directory browsing or a fixed 'ROMs' dir would be great.
I started working on a DreamEmulation Project: PC Engine Edition a while ago. I'd love to use a HuCast update for that. Check your PMs
Last but not least I really hope the problems you mentioned will be solved and things will settle down. I wish you all the best.
