Need help making self-boot Super Famicast emulator!

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

He walk talking to Repoman23.

If you're looking to selfboot DreamSNES with ROMs I've created a tutorial that will guide you through create a disc with ROMs.

http://www.dcemulation.org/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=68460

DreamSNES 0.9.8 is faster than SuperFamicast 1.0 or 2.0 with sound on, but SuperFamicast 1.0 is the fastest if you don't care about the sound.

What went wrong with SBInducr ? Do you have the SBIs from Sbiffy ?

Fantastic tutorial, LyingWake :D I'd change the Povlst link to ROMlst by KrYpT tho as Provlist renames all the ROMs. At least ROMlst should be added as an alternative.

I tried his tutorial, and it didn't work.

I tried it on both a ae and a wk model.

If it absolutely has to be selfboot, I cant help you there. But, but, if you wanted to, you could just use DCHakker or DemoMenu to boot up the cd that has the plain files. The only catch is cd swapping.

It didn't work? How so? I mean, did the images get created successfully?

Thanks Chris for the heads up on kRYPT's ROM list creator. I'll edit that in a little later.

That'd work too. Which is the better of the two to use? I'd rather get some opinions before wasting a cd (I know, they are cheap, but still.)

I did the selfboot with the SBI of neo4all. Even put neocd.bin in there.

Did not run at all.

Do you need to add the seperate source files somewhere or something? Nobody made that clear, but sbi alone with neocd dont work

Still can't get it to work. All dreamcasts that have a 1 inside a circle should work right? Regardless of the two letters?
