Dreamcast Microphone Successfully Hacked

This forum is for discussion pertaining to homebrew and indie software for the Dreamcast, such as homebrew games, emulators/interpreters, and other homebrew software/applications. Porting requests and developmental ideas are not to be made here; you can make those here. If you need any help burning discs for homebrew software, this is the place to ask as well.

Anyway, without further ado, I present the KallistiOS Microphone driver. Be sure to read the README, as it tells how to install it and all.

Get it from here: http://dcdev.xtleague.com/dcrel/kos-micdriver.tar.bz2

I'd say more, but I'm on my way out the door as it is.

Bluest BlueCrab wrote:The Microphone uses an (as of now) undocumented (by any homebrew developer) Maple command to communicate. The microphone uses command 0x0F (KallistiOS only shows commands -5 through 0x0E) (yes I know I mixed decimal and hex there).
-5 is valid hex. :P
