You look a lot like the Amy Rose pic in your avatar, actually. Strange coincidence.

Re: Much Hellos (DreamCast Car Project)
It's unfortunate that the DC uses GD-Roms, you could have fabbed a 1 DIN cd tray with it to integrate it into the dash. But I guess if you're going for a whole Dreamcast theme... its better to just do that setup. It's refreshing to see a girl into doing fiberglass (no offense), as its quite a stinky, messy operation.
BTW, do you have a 6 or 7 bolt 4G63 in there?

No Crank Walk- 6 Bolt ;D
Your suggestion is pretty cool! I never thought of doing it that way, but I don't have room for it in the Dash without reglassing the dash... I think everyone is thinking that this is a brand new install... lemme shed light with this pic:

(Apologies for the crappy pics- it was late when I took them and had not cleaned everything up yet)
I have an 8" screen where the CD player usually goes- my headunit will be molded into the speedcover/fall since I no longer have a typical space for it. I like the idea of having the DC obviously a DC in the center console. No questions as to what my theme is. Interesting line of thought, though... Maybe I'll change how the DVD player functions to something along that line, just in the speedcover/fall too... hmmmmm....
BTW, no offense taken, I get it a lot. I'm a gay man stuck in a womans body.

Re: Much Hellos (DreamCast Car Project)
Wow! I leave you guys alone for one night and look what happens
As for the knob- yes. As many may or may not know, the threading on the Eclipse shifter does not take to about 99% of aftermarket knobs. I had a one of a kind door knob made (it's crystal, you know, like chaos emeralds?) and one day in the garage I'm like "Huh, I wonder what this would like like kinda'." Like an idiot (one would think) I screwed it on and it fit perfectly!
Turns out, Eclipse shifters use threading for their shifter knobs the same as door knobs. Who knew!?
I still had to cut down the shifter so that I could see the screen when driving, but in the end, you're right! It should look like a door knob many have seen in houses!
