Good to see the old fashion mods are makin a comeback, for a while there it seemed like people thought if it wasn't a tray loader or some super uber mod it wasn't worth posting. Nice work man, very sexy.

I like the color blue on consoles; very nice paint job.
Are you planning anymore mods in the future? Cause if you were planning to chip, you should have done so when it was apart.

I'm not sure what "chipping" is, but the controller is busted (dog chewed the cord) - I just figured if the color turned out right I could switch the faceplate with a working controller. Now I'm glad I bought out the last of toysrus' controllers!

It's not a nick in the paint, it's a nick in the controller before I painted it. I sanded down the faceplate as best as I could and then I used Krylon Fusion spraypaint on it cause it said on the can that it was for plastic. Now that I know how nice the paint worked, I'm gonna go to home depot to find some really awesome krylon fusion paint - like gold sparkle or prism or something.

Chipping meaning installing an internal chip to allow the dc to play imports, as opposed to the swap disk method.

jemsic - do you mind if I use the pictures (and any other pictures I find of yours) for creating a mod gallery?

No problem, just wish my mod wasn't so lame. I'm making a really cool dreamcast arcade stick right now that's almost done, so I'll have to post pics of that.

Why'd you only paint the top half of the controller? They ain't that hard to put back together!

And I would have painted the actual buttons on the controller something to compliment the blue. Anyway, nice frigging job for your first. :kiss) :|
