Question about DreamSNES

Post by jawrbc »

I am a newbie when it comes to this. My question is this: I have followed the instructions according to the dcemulation website. I made a disk that has the dreamsnes.0.9.4.nrg(?) image in order to bring up a boot screen. This works, I get the images that are posted on dcemulation and also there is music that is being played. I have also downloaded the special file that is said to be needed. It contained the image of the CD over the piece of paper (romdisks). I was able to double click it and nero automatically started. From there I added my roms into a file named 'Games'. The problem that I am having though is when I place the rom disk into my DC a blue screen flashes when I push the game button in the image screen. This blue screen stays on for only a split second before disappearing. What am I doing wrong? Please Help!

The folder with your unzipped games in it needs to be called 'roms". You also need to include a folder called "sound" with an .mp2 file in it, which is on the DreamSNES disc if you've burnt it already or you can get it from the plain files version which is at the DreamSNES site.

After doing that it should work OK.

Thank you. I will try that later. I will let you know if I have any success. If I don't I will probably have more questions.

:D
Thanks for your help. I did what you told me to and it worked great. Now all I need to do is wait for the new version release that has better sound and speed. It unfortunately moved too slow on some games. But thanks anyway.

I think you mean sound and fullscreen off. You can't turn off speed ;)
