Is this possible? I searched the forums and google, but did not get any concrete results. Well, I did get some, but they were posts from 2004. (Not sure if any new apps/methods have been released since then.)

I'd like to backup my save game files via the coder's cable. I realize the SD card reader is now available, but I wanted to know if this was doable without purchasing any additional hardware or software.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Backing up VMU files via Coder's Cable
I dunno if there are any existing programs to do that, but it should be ridiculously easy to throw one together. KOS certainly has all of the functionality needed to do so.
I'll try to throw something quick together later on today or in the next few days when I get a chance.

It should be quite easy, did you try with Dream Explorer (the tool of Speud), launched from the PC?

Ah thank you. It seems to do that and many other nice things; and is very descriptive on to put it all together.Indiket wrote:It should be quite easy, did you try with Dream Explorer (the tool of Speud), launched from the PC?

Dream Explorer has that functionality and it seems quite easy to use. A quick script-like program does a full VMU backup to a default/set folder would be what i'm thinking.BlueCrab wrote:I dunno if there are any existing programs to do that, but it should be ridiculously easy to throw one together.
