Ever wanted a REAL HD Sonic 2?

There are playable demos of this floating around too. Just a very small section you can run around. It does look good.

Nope, same game. I don't think any tech demos were out then though, that was when it was still in the very early stages.

Actually, that image was a mock made by someone completely different. That Death Egg image was just concept art, nothing more.

Is this only for PC? Any chance for Sonic HD port to DC, or do I have to get a current gen console to play HD Sega Genesis?
I have a decent PC that'll play most newer games, so I really don't feel like forking out another 250-400 dollars...

Dreamcast does 800x600 at best, which I assume games like Ikaruga and Under Defeat use. However, the single resolution its video hardware outputs to the TV / monitor seems to be 640x480p.

This project seems to be PC only as of yet.
