Just ordered two things from NISA's online store...
Prinny 2: DOPD! (PSP)
Hyperdimension Neptunia Limited Edition (PS3) - Preorder

I still have to preorder Ar tonelico 3 from them, but I want to see how long their standard shipping takes before deciding on how to have that shipped...

Yakuza (PS2)

Can't believe I avoided this for so long. Hasney was so right. It's like my gaming wet dream. Every second so far has been awesome.

As a result...

Yakuza 2 (PS2)
Yakuza 3 (PS3)
Yakuza 4 Special Edition (PS3) (Preorder)

MvC3. Good, but the character roster is a huge piss on my face, especially because everyone I want will be premium DLC. Fuck you Capcom.

This annoys me quite a bit. I hate the fact that they're purposefully leaving content out of games now, so that they can charge you to download it on your own. It also means anyone who buys a used copy of the game, or gets it from a friend, or rents it, or even gets it as a gift won't have the "full" game, because every single person has to pay to download the rest of the characters on their console.

Now, if this meant a constant stream of new characters with a resultant full cast of hundreds, so they could eventually slip in damn near every Marvel and Capcom character you could want, that *might* be one thing. But in that case, there should be a separate "complete" or "game of the year" or whatever edition that contains everything.

I'm a big fan of having hard copies of any media I buy, and DLC undermines my efforts to maintain a library.

Speaking of hard copies, my latest purchases:
- Star Fox (SNES)
- Super Mario All-Stars & World (SNES)

I was at an antique street fair this weekend, and a guy there had a big box of NES and SNES games. I was excited to find a copy of Megaman 5... but he wanted $50 for it. Most of his other games were similarly priced (about 2x the going rate), so I came away empty handed.

For me, DLC can only be the way Rockstar did it with GTA4 and RDR; a stand-alone gaming experience clearly developed seperately, after the original release. Unfortunately when I saw Namco and EA selling codes to automatically unlock game content that can already be unlocked in the game (by playing and beating it) - I realised the retards who buy this shit are the real problem here.

Still waiting on mine from Amazon, though I think NIS just shipped them out to retailers today. I have not decided to start it or Valkyria Chronicles since I just got my PS3 Friday and have not even set it up yet.

NISA sent out an email on Friday of last week to anyone who had preordered it at their site... Essentially, the whole shipment got delayed in getting to their warehouse, and was stuck somewhere in Missouri.

Finally, finally got a PSP Go. I've been wanting one for a while, but a $200 price tag is insane. So when I stumbled upon one for half that cost, I decided to go for it. It also helps the fact that they finally have CFW for the thing so I don't lose out on my SNES emulator.

Though I technically don't have it in my possession yet, I was finally able to place an order for Pier Solar.
