Different NES game versions: are there any differences?

Post by Gav-X »

IIRC, some NES games were released in arcades as 10-packs called PlayChoice10, then some had Vs versions and finally there were those NES games found as minigames in Animal Crossing.
Besides the different color in some PlayChoice10 games due to its RGB output, were those versions equal? Also, when a game got made by more than one company (like Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade by Taito and UBI, or Pacman by Namco and Tengen), was there any differences between them?
