Quake RPG Screenshots ahoy!

Talk about Quake, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D, or other DC first person shooting game ports and mods for those games in here.

Quake RPG Screenshots ahoy!

Post by Tyne »

I hope FrikaC doesn't mind me posting these, but someone asked. ;)
The gameplay is done by cursor and we have Diablo like items and stuff, you can usually see what you equip on your character (except for some things)! It runs great. :D

It run on QuakeDC ?
If you think typing 'make' is hard, forget coding.
If you can't figure out the commands to DC-Tool, forget coding.
If you think coding is as easy as typing printf("Hello World\n"); , shoot yourself.

It runs great, 60/60 FPS at all times although the map hardly has details.

Great job. It looks like it is going to be pretty neat. In terms of use of cursor would this be the DC mouse or the analog knob? Also, what is the story of this game/title?

We're not gonna give away story but you'll know it when you pop it in your Dreamcast. ;) and yes, it plays like Diablo but with a rotatable camera that can be zoomed in and out and other nifty features also Quake RPG so far is 12 megs including development stuff, it's mostly music that makes it large.
I'm glad you people are interested!

The cursor is also moved with the D-Pad since the analog stick doesn't act the same way as the mouse on the PC version (D'oh).

Sure I'll keep you informed.
There isn't a website if you hang out in #qc at irc.gamesnet.net then you might catch me and Frika in there discussing things. NPCs are in progress, Frika showed me a screen shot with "Bob the NPC", cute.
I'm sure we don't need help in the programming department because Frika = Quake C god

cand i ask a few q's about this rpg? keep in mind that you dont have to answer them if you don't want.
1.is there going to e multiplayer support (ie. two controllers oe dreamcast?)
2. are the keyboard and mouse ging to be incorporated?
3.when it is done are you guys going to release more quests?

i would greatly apprieciate it if you answeed these but i understand you dont want to reveal too much and tha you are busy.
