burner0's dreaminducer system and advice on running dcdoom

Post by fluffykiwi »

It's great!

With his help I got doom2 and ultimate doom running great on one selfbooting cd with absolutely no hassle, just follow his instructions.

Thanks!

Weapon swap works great on both wads, digital pad left and right is used, id have preferred X and Y with digital l and r being straffe keys, but really pleased its working at all.
Plus just noticed left trigger is run, very nice.
You can turn the graphics filter on in the options menu advance selection for smoother graphics and turn tv mode on if you wish, for that scanline lookand tweak the gamma settings till its just right.

The only thing now needed to make the dcdoom run perfectly with a joystick IMO is to make a map button(TAB) and something for straffe, the only reason i use the keyboard now, dodging shots would be so much easier.

Of couse a save facility would be great but an awful lot more work!

I'm currently loving playing the games.
Looking forward hopefully to final doom being included in his selection of items to add to dream inducer, great method btw!

yeah... we all want saving.
This probably wouldnt work but i just wondered.
If u made a save file for every level on pc, and burned it onto the CD with the wad, would there be an easy way of getting it to read it, at least then you could carry on from the level u go to, even if without your weapons and health.
