Re: AT&T Question

I think you'd be better off trying to call AT&T to see if you can get it applied to your account for this month. They will do it, but I don't think it's the standard way of doing things, so I can't say that adding it online will definitely do it for you.

Thanks. I didn't realize people still checked out these tutorials.

Maybe I'll have to look into putting together a few more at some point.

Re: Sleazy Verizon rep... whoah.

Are you sure you called Verizon in the first place? Did you look up the number, or did you just call the number provided in the text? It sounds like a phishing scam to me. BTW - $1.99 per megabyte is about 20% of what I have to pay if I want to browse the Internet on my AT&T phone, right now. Of...

Re: My Zune 30 Brick'd

I own a Zune 80, so I guess I'm safe for now. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I have to agree with MulletMan, here. I like the Zune a lot, and I hate to see them taking a PR hit like this. I really kind of wish this had happened to one of the iPod models instead (especially since I spent about ...

Re: What did you get for Christmas?

Some pajama pants, a few pairs of boxers, some socks, a bunch of tools (so I'll quit borrowing them from my dad), some money. I think that's about it. I didn't get a whole lot, but that's kind of the way I wanted it. My wife and I got a decent amount of money together, though; and that's what we rea...

What system are you looking for?

There's SuperTuxKart, which is a Mario Kart clone using the characters from SuperTux.

Then, of course, to confuse the issue even more; there are those members that are the same person but with different usernames (and, in some cases, even completely separate accounts).

Re: Sbi & Plain File Differences

Unfortunately, I think all of the apps available to check the bins run on Windows. I'm not sure if any of them are available for Mac or not. IIRC, it's possible (though not always 100% reliable) to open the bins in a hex editor and look for plain text inside of the file. If you find a good amount of...

Once again, we didn't shop for anyone but the kids. We got some decent stuff, but nothing amazing. The one big purchase we made was to pick up Guitar Hero World Tour for the whole family for the Wii.

Jean Claude Van Damme movies Yea, I'm a big sucker for Blood Sport. Terrible acting, but he's a beast in that movie. The acting is generally terrible, but the movies always seem to be entertaining. I refuse to watch anything with Steven Seagall (little Stevie Siegel), though. I can't stand him for ...

Re: Battery Suggestions for Best Practices

Five or ten years ago, this would have been a major concern. The old batteries found in cell phones and other portable, rechargeable devices were very fickle. If you charged them without them being fully depleted, or if you didn't charge them fully, the lifespan of the batteries would go way down. H...

NiGHTS for the Wii

So, what was the final verdict on this game? Is it as good as it was hyped up to be?

I saw it at Target this evening for 14.98, and I was just wondering if it's worth it. What are your thoughts?

We didn't really get any major Black Friday deals this year, other than some practical stuff like clothes, etc. for about 85% off.
