I read the book also, The Hobbit. I must I liked it actually. But I must say, that a lot happened in The Hobbit. Like how he got the sword, another big war (at the end), the dragon... I encourage you to read it, it is very easy to read and pretty short (read it in 4 days).

I agree with Matt, it is dangerous to have a motorcycle. But with a record like yours, with the crash, I REALLY don't recommened it.
