Re: The Dreamcast turns 21 today!

I think my favourite Dreamcast memory (and ongoing experience) is playing with my nieces and nephew. "This is a Dreamcast disc and is for use only on a Dreamcast unit. Playing this disc on a hi-fi or other audio equipment could cause serious damage to its speakers. Please stop this disc now.&q...

Re: Has anybody heard about Atomiswave games being hacked to play on DC?

I've downloaded a few of them onto my MODE. Dolphinblue in particular is an absolute blast and I really wanted to sit down with a friend to play it once that 3rd level glitch is fixed. These ports are pretty special, as the arcade gameplay and timeframe of their release really make them feel like l...

Has anybody heard about Atomiswave games being hacked to play on DC?

I saw this mentioned in a comment at the bottom of this page http://www.thedreamcastjunkyard.co.uk/2020/11/flea-brand-new-release-for-dreamcast.html By the way, has anybody here heard about Atomiswave games now being hacked to work on Dreamcast? Metal Slug 6 has been the first game just this week, a...

Re: 32MB RAM Expansion

This is pretty neat. Even though there isn't much use for it at the moment it is just cool that it is even possible. Would it be possible to go higher than 32MB or is that the limit? If the Dreamcast has originally launched with 32MB of ram how much of an improvement would it been for games? Sorry i...

Re: CEMU Wii U Emulator for Dreamcast Port

As long as you set Cemu to render the internal resolution at 640x480 it should run great. Also the DC gamepad is perfectly suited to emulate a Wii U gamepad due to its VMU functionality. There wouldn't be touchscreen on the VMU but that could be remedied by using the top secret C and Z buttons.

The Dreamcast turns 21 today!

21 years ago was 9/9/99 the North American release date of the Sega Dreamcast. I still play a DC game every now and again on Redream but I got rid of my last Dreamcast several years ago. I've still got a few controllers and all my VMUs but no system. What are some of your best memories with the Drea...

It has been exactly 13 years and 4 months since this thread was started. Still no update. I'd say the translation will be released the same day that Rand finally replies to Barnolde.

Re: Anyone play Civ?

I recently played Civ for the first time in my life just a few weeks ago. I choose Civ V as it seemed to have the best reviews. I really enjoy it, but right now I'm only on my second game. So while I'd be happy to play a game with you, I fear I am too much of a noob right now for it to be much of a ...

Is there anyway to overclock the gigaflops on the Dreamcast?

Sega's Dreamcast console only could do 1.4 gigaflops. An original Xbox system can do 20 gigaflops. Now an original xbox can emulate an awful lot of different systems dang near perfectly. So if we could overclock the damn gigaflops on the Sega Dreamcast up to 20 or close to it we could have all the e...

Re: Segagaga translation in the works

11 years and still nothing, I understand about schedules having to line up but 11 years! 11 years and absolutely nothing to show. How do you have nothing to show after 11 years? Cool; I've always wanted to play that game. In the time since you posted this you could have learned Japanese and started ...
