Re: About time. hd format war pretty much over, warner goes blu

Personally I can't tell any difference between regular dvd's and blu-ray movies. Maybe my hdtv isn't new enough but I have watched several blue ray movies and they don't look any better then watching a DVD on my Xbox 360. I've noticed a few HD movies have shitty transfers (i.e. Zoolander), but the ...

Unfortunately, that only works with the handful of games that specifically support the device (like "Animal Forest e+").

Re: Resident Evil (the first part) on Sega Dreamcast?

AS far as I know, the remake eventually released on the Gamecube was originally destined for the Dreamcast--aside from that, I've heard no mention of the original game on the DC.

Re: Drinking with overly educated people

I've always wondered what this "calculus" thing is that Americans keep talking about on TV and elsewhere. I've asked a friend who did a bit of it at A Level, and I've read the Wikipedia article, but can't understand what exactly it is beyond "complicated maths stuff".

Manhunt 2 title wins ban appeal

The developer of Manhunt 2 has won its appeal to force the British Board of Film Classification to look again at its ban on the game's release. The game has twice been rejected by the BBFC for certification, effectively banning the game for sale in the UK. Developers Rockstar contested the ban at t...

At least you can talk English properly. I'd have to resort to monkey mimics. I believe "ebonics" is the more politically correct term for that particular dialect of English. :nono: I'm not talking about black people :nono:. I know, I was just being silly. I criticized you for being politi...

Re: What if Sega made Sonic 2 in HD?

Especially if they were to remake the special stages using modern 3D techniques. The Saturn version of Sonic 3D features special stages that are almost exactly that. There have been a few different projects that successfully replaced the...

Re: Question for a German

I've taken to downloading the German Top 100 every few weeks, and I've come to notice that there are sometimes songs by different artists that are only slightly altered versions of other songs. I could actually explain the similarities to you, but dude wtf? Feel free to select from one of the follo...

I've taken to downloading the German Top 100 every few weeks, and I've come to notice that there are sometimes songs by different artists that are only slightly altered versions of other songs. Compare these two, for example: Matthias Reim - Verdammt Ich Hab Nix SHA - Verdammt Ich Hab Nix Or these t...

Re: Sonic2hasthebestmusiceverOMG

Maybe not the best, but my favorite Sonic song is Starlight Zone. It just makes me so happy. You might like "Kusuriyubi no Kesshin" by Dreams Come True--they worked on the soundtrack for the first two games, and based Starlight Zone on that track. There's also "Sweet Sweet Sweet"...

Re: Oh SNAP! Someone REALLY gets digital distribution!

Joseph Arthur has been selling his stuff in FLAC on his site for quite a while now, so he to gets it! Now if only they'd include a cue and log!!!! A gapless standard would solve that problem better than additional files and confusion. I don't see what problem there is--FLAC, as a lossless codec, is...

I love you. Seriously. This was my favorite music video back when I was a kid.
Great video, awful song. That seems to be the way with a lot of 80s stuff :p

I have no idea whether the below posting is of any interest to anyone, or whether it comes off as a bit of a dull rant--regardless, I witnessed something today which absolutely boggled my mind, and may well provide insight into the reason for the sharp increase in numbers of degrees being awarded by...

Re: Listening to the stereo with others? You're a pirate!

Like those guidelines the NFL released a few years ago...that Super Bowl parties (whether at home or at a bar/club/gym/whatever) with any kind of entrance or cover fee , even if the fee wasn't related to the game itself, were strictly forbidden. I can't imagine there are many people hostin...
