Not right now, no. Word was Rand (Bleem programmer) had released the specs to someone else so they could write a utility to do something like this, but with the Bleem fire out nothing else has been heard on the project.

Sometimes the DC overheats - it has a liquid cooling system and a fan but when the fan gets stuck (like with dust) then it overheats. I'm assuming you're giving your DC a "cooling off" period before taking it back but some people find that that's enough. Also be sure not to put it on shag ...

I think the scope of the DreamSNES project stops just sort of whatever is not already implemented in the SNES9X code. If SNES9X starts supporting them then perhaps... And the answer to the question "can't you take the code from ZSNES and drop it into DreamSNES?" is no. ZSNES = 99% Assembly...

bad news - the DJ image says it's corrupted (the Zip file) and the Nero image doesn't work. For what it's worth I've never been able to get a CDI image of any version of NesterDC to work with CDI2NERO.

It's a well known bug (though obviously not well known enough) that the multi memory cards won't work with DreamSNES - the problem supposedly stems from how DreamSNES likes to use the little speaker to beep when the save is done - no speaker, no save.

The whole "MIL-CD"/"CD-R" debate/myth rages on and gets more confusing, though 007's list here does an admirable job of cutting through the crap (or at least trying to): http://www.dcemulation.org/article-supported.htm To make things all the more confusing, there are DC's that ca...

I think this poster was on the mistaken impression that the developer, Peter Bortas, posts to this board and therefore could answer the question himself. No, to the best of our knowledge Bortas doesn't post on this board.

And this does break the NUMBER ONE RULE OF THE FORUM.

Nope. As stated before the only three games for Bleemcast were Gran Turismo 2, Metal Gear Solid, and Tekken 3.

Yeah yeah, I'm working on that postmortem FAQ still.

dumbass, could you make the cdi for quake with the shareware pak file for me?
heh - sorry, in any other context this would be a huge insult. As it stands, it's just funny.

When I play GT2 I get the same trepidous feeling I get when I start reading a 1000 page book - I like it, but I'm nervous about the idea that I'll never finish it.

The sound quality shouldn't have anything to do with your burner. When you run the emulator, the program is called into memory. When you play the ROM image, the ROM image is called into memory. The game isn't streaming off of the disc or anything. The disc is finished when you start playing a game u...

In any event it's a moot point since it doesn't work according to those who have wasted tons of blank CD's on the idea. Someone on the Boob forum has been having fun with people.

Well it's interesting. The fact that the Dreamcast and XBox are the first consoles to take media roughly identical to a previous generation (4.7" optical discs) places them in the unique position of being able to retrofit their consoles for previous software. An N64 can't play Genesis games bec...

Yeah the bad grammar should be the first clue. Back on the old DCEmu boards, someone reported spotting a "Bleem Chip" for the DC, a mod chip which claimed to be capable of making the Dreamcast play all PSX games. It was in a blue box with very un-Bleem-like lettering. The person who posted...

I know it has nothing to do with anything but Quake 2 was ported to the Nintendo 64, a platform with 8MB RAM. Granted I think it was with a lot of pain and work, and I don't know how much of that port was based on the original engine code and how much of that port was just using the resources from t...

I've pilfered through the code just a smidge. Like all id games, it's 90-95% C (not C++) code, with 5-10% ASM code. Ergo, with some rewriting it's theoretically possible. However, it's not for wimps. Like it has been mentioned the Quake source was ported by people with full dev kit access and of cou...
