I know it has nothing to do with anything but Quake 2 was ported to the Nintendo 64, a platform with 8MB RAM. I've pilfered through the code just a smidge. Like all id games, it's 90-95% C (not C++) code, with 5-10% ASM code. Ergo, with some rewriting it's theoretically possible. However, it's not for wimps.
