You only can save on the coder's cable version (doom.elf). The disc version can't save on the beta (and only) version.

Thanks for testing it out! I have sugested both things before (changing cd_enable to 1 and setting IP.BIN as CD-ROM) but I was very lazy to test it myself. Is the VGA support really required for this? And the audio should be burn as .wav files or audio tracks?

Thanks! ;)

Note the following: when you run a game that uses music from real audio tracks, and the game must read data from the CD, the music is stopped and restarts from the beginning after reading the data. So using .wav files instead the music will continue playing at the same point if i...

Maybe you can use entity.velocity and entity.angles to make it go in the direction you want, like a missile...

And TDA, are you sure that QuakeDC don't have models transparency? I've heard that the rings transparency in SlowMo works in QuakeDC.

I have to say NO... Quake DC and Doom DC works in very different ways. Why this? I haven't seen any post on Doom DC that looks like "Oh, I think that this will work with Quake DC also" and vice versa. If anyone wants to do a Doom tc for Quake DC, post about it in the Quake DC forum. About ...

I'd say it's pretty damn cool; ideal for the non-keyboard owners.
Btw do you see it as a customisable, plug-in type option for other DcQuake modders to incorporate in their projects?

After editing the .pak files, test it on your computer before burning a Quake DC disc. If the SoA edited .pak files works on your computer, it will work on Quake DC.

Tell us if your modified .pak files worked on your PC, so we can give you a better answer.[/u]

You don't need to hack this if you don't have a keyboard.

Just put the "cd_enable 1" on the quake.rc file.
