Re: DVD blurry/pixelated on HDTV through Blu Ray

Hey Zero how are the new AppleTVs with 720p stuff? Also do you still need a Mac to install XBMC on them?

I awoke to an empty house, which obviously means everyone was taken to heaven but me, so now it's time to go looting!

Re: Jobs

@pixel: Every company has a designated area in which they cover, at least in my office (we are all independent to an extent, so we all operate a bit different). If company A has a problem they call us and we call another company, we try either a back-up company (who has no area) or the next closest ...

Building a gaming PC

So I know next to nothing about PC gaming, but would like to get into it more since I've been enjoying Half-life 2 on my shitty laptop a lot more then I did on the 360. I'm not looking to spend more then $500 for the system (not including the monitor, but it'd be awesome to get it all for under that...

Re: Post everytime that you buy a new game...

Ar Tonelico Qoga I'm finally nearing the true ending on my first playthrough (there's apparently 4 "true" endings). I'd rate it slightly better than the second game (which I enjoyed more than the first one, in all honesty). Only real thing that bothered me was the repetitiveness of the &q...

Re: Jobs

I work at AAA, answering phone for people who break down and dispatching them out tow trucks. I work 32 hours a week now since I had to drop a day for class, but once school is done I'll be back to my usually 40-45 hours week. I pull in around ~$1200 before taxes, which is not shit anymore. If I don...

Re: Ripping TV DVDs

Went with AppleTV2 preset, average bitrate of 2000 w/ 2 pass encoding. Looks good, but I still get the chapter subtitle in Windows, but it's fine on the ps3 itself. Weird.

Re: Ripping TV DVDs

I just used the Normal preset. I'm making mp4's files for playback on my PS3, and was testing them on MPC Home Cinema. Going to redo the encode since it was sort of dark. Any suggestions for quality settings? avg vs constant for action shows (encoding Firefly now).

Re: Ripping TV DVDs

I started to do this with handbrake (windows version) yesterday. It looks great, but for some reason the chapter # from the dvd is burned into the video at the bottom. Anyone know how to turn this off, can't seem to figure it out? Edit: For some reason it created a subtitle track that just shows cha...

Hyperdimension Neptunia I'm still waiting for my copy of it to be shipped from NISA's online store. :? Not that I have time right now to play it anyway... Still waiting on mine from Amazon, though I think NIS just shipped them out to retailers today. I have not decided to start it or Valkyria Chron...
