So I'll have to wait until I'm 84 years old before I can legally copy that ROM image of Pong. Time to start a-waitin'! *cracks knuckles* Gee willickers is this going to be swell. *waits* Hrmm, I'll be 112 years old before any of the DC games can be legally copied. Guess I'd better start working on t...

Cool, thanks for the help. Don't think I've found the exact one yet, but who knows, with my memory I've probably skipped over it... Did you come up with any distros you could recommend, BlackAura? I'm looking at Coyote Linux at the moment, comes with a Windows based wizard for configuring the floppy.

This Ebayer for real?

Looks about as suspect as they come. Just noticed today there were around 150 new DC games up for auction. All from the one guy. With 3 items of feedback, all from when he was buying. Clickah I have the feeling a LOT of people are about to get ripped off. Note that in half of his auctions, the photo...

Linux Firewall/Proxy Geared Distro

I remember seeing it somewhere, think the name was posted here. Basically it was sort of an out-of-the-box distro set up for a dedicated firewall PC. Thinking of setting up one of my Pentiums for this use, if anyone could point me to the distro, that'd be most helpful. :)

School friend, I assume he's 18 years or younger? And has had time/motivation to learn and become an expert at SH-4 assembly? I find that very unlikely.

However, stranger things have happened, and we can never have enough experienced DC programmers. :)

Anyhow, to what I really wanted to say. Anyone ever watch all the NES cartoons that used to be on? You know, the one where Mario was some wrestler dude (I can't remember the guy's name) and they watched cartoons of Mario, Zelda, and a few others? I miss that show... Swing your arms from side to sid...

Actually yes, I think the Saturn did have a Motorola 68000 in it. It was used as a sound CPU, in the same way that the Mega Drive used the same CPU as the Mster System (Z80) as a sound CPU. I think. Don't hold me to it. And of course the Dreamcast uses two SH2's for audio. Wait... no it doesn't. Da...

Is it a US NTSC DC? None of the PAL Dreamcasts have said problem. If it's an NTSC one and works then, I dunno, maybe it really isn't a problem. I'm only reporting what I've read from the aforementioned site.

they've got lives, it's undrstandable on how they could forget about something this small, or put it off for a long time. I'd hardly consider all the time spent on writing and perfecting a SNES9x port of sorts for the Dreamcast a "small" thing. Odds are, something is going to happen in on...

Yeah, as the site says, it's December 2000 and later dreamcasts that are the problem, but people generally say post-1999 just to be safe.

As far as I know, US Dreamcasts made after 1999 don't have MIL-CD support, so they can't read CD-Rs. So if you have one of these, you won't be able to play DreamSNES or any other Homebrew apps. Here's a page with more info: clicky.

Alotta people don't do Halloween because it's a kiddy holiday where you dress-up like fags (sorry moderaters) and knock on people's doors for candy. Halloween is a pagan festive day, I'm pretty sure any pagans here would be pretty offended at your comments. But hey they're in the minority (just lik...

Bah, just do what I plan to do when I get around to it: Paint the whole damn keyboard black, keys and all. Like you need to look at them anyway. Sure would mess with anyone who couldn't touch type. ;)

So you programmed Doom for SNES. The game that John Carmack himself said wasn't possible? That's quite the feat itself, let alone bleemcast!
