no the sp has (basically) a modified afterburner kit. had an after burner btw and it was soooooo awsome i had to order 2 :-D (dont have the other one if that's what you're thinking. lol.

the dreamcast manual actually suggests that you open the lid, remove the disc, turn the power off, than close the lid.
