I'll be watching this closely - I really want to try this one day. Need to get better with computers and programing first (havnt really got a clue about that side of it).
I'm confident with a soldering iron and know I can do that side of things though.
Keep us updated...

Re: Law56kers Nxdoom Collection Released!
Right, got it to work!!   Turns out the Doom2.wad file I downloaded was an old version (not 1.9 version), so I tracked down the iwad patcher v1.1 and patched it from v1.666 to 1.9 - put the wad file in the folder, burned etc and works a treat!!! Thanks for the help!! going to try ...

Re: Law56kers Nxdoom Collection Released!
Anybody got a link to a doom2.wad v1.9 download? and a doomu.wad download? EDITED- I managed to download a doom2.wad (aint sure if its v1.9 though tbh) and got the game to boot up - but most of the games on the disc 1 dont work. When I select a game to play it starts loading then comes up with an er...

Right, after seeing all them games I really want to play this. I've just downloaded it and am now going to try and find & download the 2 parts I need (doo2.wad and doomu.wad) - or do they have to be from the retial version? (rather than off the internet)

Re: Alien vs Predator on DC
(speaking over 2 forums )
Is there anyway that memory can be expanded? If not would braking the game down into acouple of discs work ok? (or can it not be done like that?)
Honestly that game is awesome, I used to play it online for hours and hours - The single player games were awesome too.

Re: Alien vs Predator on DC
EDITED- I went on wikipedia and it said that the source code was publicly released not long ago. I've downloaded the source code - although I can't say if it's correct but hopefully. Who can do something with this? I'm seriously willing to pay to have this made. My favorite game on the DC would be a...

Alien vs Predator on DC
Hey all I just read on another forum that AvP (the old PC game) might be possible to port onto Dreamcast. Is this true and if so is anyone in the process of doing it (or know of anyone who is)? I would pay good money to have this on DC as it's in my top 3 games ever (I'm a big Alien and Predator fan...

need the spec of the crystal/xtal needed to overclock VMU's
Right, I have succesfully overclocked my Dreamcast to 240Mhz, loving the improvements but want to do my VMU. I know from my good helper -=familyGuy=- that I need a 7.2Mhz xtal/crystal but I'm having trouble finding one.... Is this right? (I've been told I need to know the frequency, (7.2Mhz- got tha...

Re: Condition Zero On DC?
I already downloaded that game - it's very good. There's also another game like that - a Half Life game called operation black (or something like that) which is a follow up to the unreleased Half Life DC game and is also really good. I'm looking forward to playing these games in 240Mhz - should make...

Re: Took DC apart, modded, and then......
Right, just took both Dreamcast's apart and spent awhile examing them etc. I tried a few different things and turns out the switch dosent seem to be working. I tried just linking the cable in a peice of connector block and it worked straight away! Anyone know which kind of switchs do and don't work?...

Took DC apart, modded, and then......
Hey all I had a go today at doing the Dreamcast reset button and thought at the same time I might aswell solder the 2 wires to the chip for when I over clock it (and run them to a switch - I havnt got the oscillators through the post yet so can't over clock it properly - was just going to put a wire...

Re: will someone burn me a dreamsnes disc? i am computer stupid.
To be honest - your best just to learn yourself. I was exactly the same as you 2 months ago but with a lot of reading/experimenting (admitadly I wasted about 9 cd-r discs doing it wrong  ) but I eventually got there and now I find it quite a doddle - I've learnt to do Saturn games etc too so w...
