Sony Mimics Nintendo?

PlayStation 2 controller from SplitFish GameWare mimics Miyamoto's nunchaku joystick. Nintendo's innovation may be catching on. At this week's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, CNET.com reporter Will Greenwald reports on a PlayStation 2 controller that looks awfully familiar. Greenwald writes...

Update: 'Grandia II' RPG Review

Have you read the review to 'Evolution'? If so, then you may not be satisfied with the game's lack of entertainment. If you are looking for an RPG with more substance, then read on as I review one of the better RPGs for the Dreamcast- Grandia II : http://www.phantomcastle.it/phantom/GrandiaKingdom_f...

Nice to see some comments! The first DOA game I ever played was DOA2 limited edition. The graphics were obviously the first thing to get my attention (as I'm sure it was for most of us when we first played), but I was also fascinated by the countering system. It's sheer fun watching your friend crin...

Is there any difference between the Dreamcast and Gamecube versions of Evolution? I haven't played either since, like your review states, they both look pretty mediocre. The Gamecube Release is known as Evolution Worlds , which is a combination of Evolution 1 and 2 into one game. I have not played ...

Ah, the Dead Or Alive Memories!

Well now that Dead Or Alive 4 has been released, it reminds me of the wonderful times I've had with DOA2 Limitied Edition.

Let's hear about your experience with DOA 2 for the Dreamcast- your thoughts, reviews, complaints, and comparisons between this game and DOA 4.

Go Go Go! :)

Update: 'Evolution' RPG Review

Happy New Year Everyone! I feel that the Dreamcast Forum could always use more reviews for those thinking of purchasing particular titles. I thought I'd start it off by presenting a Critical Review on The Sega Dreamcast RPG " Evolution ": http://web9.server51.df-webhosting.de/bilder/XJ1000...

Hmm, sounds like something straight outta Shining Force 3! Good luck on the project. What engine do you plan on using, and fill us in on the plot, and if you have any sketches of character models, post 'em. :D

Your thoughts on Dead Or Alive 4

Is anyone looking forward to this title? Do you think they've made a sequel too many? Does anyone appreciate the counter system from the previous games which so many have considered to be nothing more than a cheap tactic? What do you think about the new character lineup entering this future title? D...

What makes a game underrated? Is it due to the fact that it doesn't sell well despite its merits? If that is the case then for the Sega Saturn, how about Deep Fear , Clockwork Knight 2 and the already mentioned Burning Rangers ? We could also add Shining Force III and Panzer Dragoon Saga to the list.

You are using a legal tool to unlock things that are already in a game that you have a license to use. No legal problems there to my knowledge. Hmm alright, what about the concept of making an English translation for import DC games, or modifiying files in a Dreamcast game so as to access hidden st...

Why did they make so many? Because Capcom wanted to cash in on the franchise, and knew that the fans would eat it up.

It's all business at the end of the day.

That is indeed pretty cool. But I have a question, if we started our own discussions on game hacking, what are the forum policies surrounding that?

BEST: Playing Jet Grind Radio , DOA 2 and Skies of Arcadia for the first time and being blown away. :o

WORST: Playing The Ring: Terror's Relam, the absolute worst survival horror game on the system. What a waste of a game that could've done well if the idea was better executed.

At first it was, but once they heard of Sony Playstation's 3d capabilities, they quickly integrated 3d features into their system as a means to compete with Sony...or so I've read.
