are load times improved? Yep. Though I never played it extensively on the PSX/PS2 I have noticed some of the "loading screens" are nonexistent. whats this i hear about needing to re-format my VMU? It has to do with how the PSX handles memory cards. Supposedly there's no way around it - wh...

Are you sure that's not a RAR file? Sequential RAR files are often named 001, 002, etc.

I think the only way Bleem could be resuscitated (remember they're DEAD now) is for them to be supprorted financially by the console manufacturer - the independent thing didn't work. Sony's out, Sega's out, Nintendo's system won't even handle full sized CD's, to say nothing of Nintendo's attitude on...

Bleem only released three Bleemcast discs before going out of business in November: Bleemcast! for Gran Turismo 2 Bleemcast! for Metal Gear Solid Bleemcast! for Tekken 3 They have gone out of business, Bleemcast does not play any games other than the one it was programmed for, games can not be hacke...

What condition is your original Tekken 3 CD in? Better question - is it an original Tekken 3 CD? I haven't noticed any slowdowns, but I haven't played the game on an original PSX extensively, so I don't know comparisons too well (I did fire it up on a PS2 for effect once or twice). I do know that th...

the demo's trial period is hard wired into our system so re-downloading and re-installing Nero won't work. One obvious way to get around this is to go buy Nero - it's boxed up at Best Buy right now. Another way would be to go get another piece of burning software. CDRWIN does most of the selfboot st...

Sonic's moved on...

Noticed this morning the Bleem! website's graphic no longer has a grieving Sonic:

I wonder if Sega complained, or if Bleem just figured it was time for Sonic to move on...

The popular consensus is that's as good as it gets. DreamSNES has nice compatibility and it's got sound. In some intances the other two SNES emus may run better on particular games, but the fact that completely leave out sound makes them a turnoff. Some people have no problem "suffering" t...

Call it a hunch if you like but it seems to me that a company would have to be pretty stupid to go for such a small gaming minority as the Dreamcast community to earn a living. Well remember that they had to make this decision probably in late 1999 to early 2000, when the Dreamcast was new and had ...

IMHO the PS2 is much better, power wise, than the Dreamcast. Sorry, but it's true. However, the PS2's difficulty in coding meant that the first generation titles looked only as good as or worse than their DC counterparts, which were second generation DC titles at that point. The reason the PS2's vis...

You do realize there's a port of the first Spider-man to the Dreamcast, right?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/p ... _id=200702

Even the N64 had this game (easy port, with the THPS engine already ported). Granted, there's no Dreamcast port of Spider-Man 2.

Bleemcast was announced at E3 2000. The announcement was for four discs that would play 100 games each, to be released that summer. However, summer came and went and no releases were to be had. Not until April 2001 that it was announced that Bleemcast had been scaled back to support one game per dis...

You need: 1. The Bleemcast disc 2. The game that disc was made for. 3. A MIL-CD compatible Dreamcast To play Metal Gear Solid on your Dreamcast you will need a MIL-CD compatible DC (almost any will do), a copy of Bleemcast, and a copy of Metal Gear Solid. You boot up the DC using the Bleemcast disc,...

It would probably be possible with a Nexus card and a utility. Of course no one's authored a utility. And DreamSNES is not compatible with the Nexus card.
