multimedia fusion 2 (which would be the newest version of click and create) could possibly support a plug in system for compiling to different platforms. if this is the case, someone could write a plugin to compile for the dc. nothing has been finalized on this yet, though. we know that the target p...

yep, it was an arcade game first. splatterhouse would run pretty slow in mame for the dreamcast; needs a fairly fast processor to emulate it on the pc. once you play the arcade version you'll never go back to the tg16 version, though :) i remember when i bought that game; it was freaking awesome. so...

yep, it's out now. go try it out for yourself. frame rate is about 20fps as opposed to the ps2's 60. as for "porting" half life to the quake engine, dream on. i doubt any of you want to implement the code for skeletal animation and the scripting used in the game....after valve got done wit...

you know if you get tv out, and a psx-usb adapter for your pc, you'll never go back to playing emus on the dc...NNNesterJ blows away nester on the DC :) not to mention zinc is pretty kick ass, along with zsnes, mame, etc :) edit - hehe :) someone already knows the joys of tv out and psx pads i see :)

well you can play a lot of 3d fighting games using zinc. pretty sure soul calibur is on the list too :) course it doesn't come near the quality of the dc conversion...but it's free, and looks nifty with filtering :)

that's because there aren't many good games for the GC right now. don't get me wrong, there are a few, but games like Luigi's Mansion and Mario Sunshine turned out to be such a disappointment...plus it's all about warez with emulation now. Sad as it is...people want games for free, and that's all th...

o.O ps2 emu for the ps2 huh? bet that would run slow as hell (if you're actually emulating the system and not just running the games :P) i'm waiting for crt0 to come and list off the specs for the ps2, that way you know how difficult it would be to get a ps2 emu running on the 700mhz xbox at a good ...

there's already plenty of info on the net about emulating the saturn, so buying books on it would probably not be neccesary. i don't think anyone wants to tackle emulating the saturn though. that machine is so damn complicated. just look at the specs that crt0 posted on it. it's a monster :) hell, e...

man....well, here's an answer that doesn't talk about emulating a bios :) you can emulate anything on anything pretty much, but the playabiltywill suffer. sure you could emulate the ps2 hardware on the dc and have it run demos or rips, but they would most likely run too slow. maybe 3 fps if you're e...

hey crt0, do you REALLY think laying all the specs for the systems will help them to see that emulating a saturn on the dc is just a pipe dream? these guys have no idea what goes into emulating something as complex as the saturn (on the PC or the DC), and I'm sure in a couple days we'll have another...

hell, yeah. you could even rewrite it in pascal if you felt like. HA! hey, clessoulis, you MIGHT want to check out some tutorials on begining programming in assembly language. actually, that goes for anyone that's made suggestions for ports, programs, game engines, etc :) i'm not trying to be mean o...

Dark Forces didn't use Build. It was Lucas Arts engine they made just for the game :) Outlaws used an enhanced version of the Dark Forces engine though :) Don't think Lucas Arts made any other games with the engine after that; they just went ahead and created a fully 3d one for Jedi Knight.

hehe. well, even IF someone were to code an n64 emu, running goldeneye on the dc prolly wouldn't happen. runs pretty badly on my p4 1.8 ghz machine using Project64. you know you can pick up the game for like 12 bucks used at software etc...i've got like 50 n64 games now just from going every week an...
