If *they* screw up on billing, they WILL correct it -- BY LAW -- regardless of whether or not you're a total asshole.

Scammer, definitely.

BTW, waiting for a payment to clear could take up to a month (or longer!).

Don't do it -- just relist the item.

I just want the phone itself, without the service.

For just the phone, they want $150 -- which is a lot for the QD.

That's the same price that Nokia is charging on their own site.

Thanks... I didn't realize that they were selling them online like that.

Where did you find one?! We've been looking in LA for a few months now and can't find a single QD anywhere. All the EBs (GameStops?), Best Buy, etc. etc. don't carry them anymore! Please PM me if you know where I could get one... (I've sent you a PM as well). ... or, since you mentioned getting a de...

It's been a *very* long time (ie. years and years and years now), but IIRC the builds of WSD and WS2 ran well. Whether or not they were 100% finished, I don't remember. The one "standout" feature I remember was the four-player support for DC that emulated the multitap. Also, I believe ther...

I've also heard that "ghost" is the easiest and most reliable way to do it.

Apparently a bunch of the mass-market (ie. Dell, etc.) use it to image their drives.

NB: I haven't read anything earlier than the last couple posts. Please don't turn this into a huge off-topic discussion, but IMHO (with a good amount of empirical evidence), people will copy for free regardless of price. As far as using the DC protection, it's a possibility. If someone is in direct ...

Agreed -- generally speaking, using the SQ is the fastest method of transferring data. If you use DMA, you'll have to write the data to ram at some point (which requires flushing) -- and if you're doing the write anyway, might as well just do it to the SQ and be done with it. That'll also save all t...

Sure, there were a number of flaws but it's certainly one of the more complex (and interesting) systems out there. Besides which, IMHO it's unfair for the author to declare it a complete failure without having the experience of working on both sides of the issue. FYI, here's the original source of i...

The comment was along the lines of And after seeing the games of the Playstation 2, I'm not entirely sure that the Dreamcast couldn't emulate them Note that that comment was from memory, so it's probably not 100% accurate, but I do remember reading it when the bleemcast forums here were still going...

I don't recall specifically saying that a DC could emulate a PS2 -- although if I did, it likely would have been in the context that Sweater Fish describes it. I do recall that many years ago at an E3 I said something relating to the possibility of emulating the PS2 and/or PS2 games: The early PS2 t...

Keep in mind that many of the 3D hardware capabilities of the PowerVR were never or rarely used, because it couldn't do them very fast. Things like FSAA, trilinear or aniostropic filtering or bump mapping. FSAA was only used in two games as far as I know, WSB2k2 and NHL2k2. I don't think any games ...

If you're looking for the first "operational" emulator, b!DC had a couple games running in Dec. 1999 and a public showing at E3 2000. If you're looking for the earliest that the general public could play with, that was almost certainly a homebrew emulator. SmashPack's release date is liste...
