I know that the SH2 CPUs would still need to be emulated but if theres a way to get faster emulation using the compatibility with SH2 software on the SH4 then full speed emulation could be possible. If this topic had come up already so many times then I'm sorry I missed it. This is the same idea I h...

A idea as to how to get full speed emulation of Saturn, 32X
I came across a very interesting article about the SH4 CPU in the DC. The article is http://www.segatech.com/technical/cpu/index.html . A very interesting read. To get to the point go to the part where it says "16-bit Instructions". When reading it says that software made for SH-1, SH-2, a...

100% speed yes if the videos have 320X240 resolution at most with a bitrate of 600 at most and 44100 mp3 mono at most. 100% sound yes if its mp3. I have tested sound as much as 48000 stereo. You need to use divx 4.xx encoded videos. Not divx 3.11 or 5.00 as of yet and yes the videos need to be .avi....

Mpeg is getting old. Divx is now the standard. Almost all my videos are Divx. Everything I record off my capture card and rip off my DVD drive is converted to Divx. The ability to play Divx videos on the DC is pretty cool but its no DVD player. The stereo I'm talking about is like 44100 Stereo. Sinc...

The genesis is more powerful with its CPU then the SNES. The SNES has a lot more colors then the Genesis. So in a lot of SNES games they needed to include a extra CPU. SuperFX chips and Capcom chips were popular on SNES. Genesis never really needed a extra CPU. Thats why some SNES games like Link wo...

Anyone heard from DCDivx?
I haven't heard any new information on DCDivx in a while. I checked project mayos furoms but theres so many DCDivx posts its hard to tell which one might give me a clue as to what I should expect from the next version. From what I can already tell from using DCDivx is that it hates fast motion scenc...

What about the tools?
I keep hearing a lot about how the tools to make software on the DC is terrible. I think the last time I heard about it was with DCDivx. I assume they are talking about KOS. My question is that if emulator programers had better tools would they be able to make there emus faster? I mean would they be...

Ahh I just burned another CD with the videos and it works. I tried a video with 796 biterate at 480X240 resolution. The audio was 128 bitrate 48,000 Stereo. It actually worked. I saw video and heard the audio fine. The only problem was that I saw 1 frame every 5 to 7 seconds. So its piss poor playba...

How can I make Nester DC self boot with roms?
I want to make a CD with the roms on it but the only thing I can find on DCemulation is Nero images and disc juggler. Where can I download the regular files so I can put the emulator and roms in one CD?

If there was a PS2 emulator you would probably not have a system fast enough to run it. Since also the PS2 has so many CPU's in the system it would take a while before anyone has emulated every one of them. Your better off waiting for a X-Box emulator to come out since you know its just a PC. I woul...

Did you need to encode the videos with OpenDivx or Divx 3.xx or 4.xx work with this player? At 320X240 with a bitrate of 300 the Pocket Divx port sounds better. Even if Divx Mediaplayer like the Pocket PC port is not optimized yet. With no sound the only thing I can think of using for this player is...

Has anyone tried DC Media Player?
Has anyone tried this Divx player yet? If anyone did try it did you have any success at playing a video? Was there any limitations in resolution or bitrate? Whats this "you'll need a coders cable to be able to play it"? Does that mean if I burn the DC Media Player on a CD it won't work?

Good point. At 320X240 with a bitrate of 300 and if the audio bitrate is like 64 then I could probably fit 3 movies on a single CD. Maybe with luck 4. Not to forget that DCDivx player is not even done yet so there could be new features and optimizations soon. It would really suck that the DC is less...
