Re: Maple controller input polls not behaving as expected

I don't have a good enough understanding of the DC or the internals of KOS to understand how st->buttons could be updating itself mid loop and if its just some DC limitation/bug, a bug with KOS or something else It happens once per vblank, and vblanks happen 25, 30, 50 or 60 times per second depend...

Re: My goodness

If I ever get married, I'm making the bride sign a pre-nup that prohibits her from coming within 10 ft of the Dreamcast or the Genesis.

|darc| wrote: Sun Aug 19, 2018 12:08 pm Very nice. Anyone tried compiling it on macOS?
No, I've only tried it on cygwin and Linux. I don't have any apple machines to test on, and I don't really even know what changes I may or may not need to make to get it ported over to Apple.

Re: Arcade controller stick input

I just tested it, the arcade stick's joystick is the d-pad. I'm guessing that maybe this is a quirk of that controller. I know some people like to push the buttons on 6-button genesis controllers with their fingers like it's a mini arcade stick; maybe the third party controller turns the analog stic...

Re: WashingtonDC dreamcast emulator

Here is a list of projects people can continue if they want: - TwistDC (a Dreamcast version of the popular party game Twister) - UltraFragDC (a port of the open-source disk defrag program) - Washington DC (this is just a name I thought was funny, I didn't make a game for this yet) - DC Charades (pr...

WashingtonDC dreamcast emulator

Howdy all, WashingtonDC (name subject to change) is my pet dreamcast emulator I've been working on for the past couple of years. It only boots three games and none of them have sound because I still haven't made a real AICA implementation, so it's not yet a viable alternative to any of the other DC ...

Re: Need Help -- Two Issues!

ISSUE #1 My buddy just got a Wii U and wanted to play PSO with me on it by downloading and ISO, or mounted copy. I have a Gamecube and currently have a broadband adapter,, but I was curious if there was a way for him to register without an official copy of the game and without a Gamecube. He opted ...

Re: Help turning my game into cue/bin files?

Ripping the game through your PC's CD-ROM drive won't work because it won't pick up the second session, which is where the filesystem resides. There's a page on comstedt's site which describes how a CD-R disc needs to be laid out to boot on Dreamcast. I don't know how to use that to generate a cue/b...
