Re: Windows 8?

Why would a pre-installed OS even come into consideration when buying new hardware. Many of the PC/laptops being sold these days don't even include an Windows install disc, and opt for a restore partition. I don't even need to say how that can lead to future problems like HDD failure, etc. Custom bu...

Re: Where to get NullDC?

A little late to respond, but while many emulators have built in BIOS emulation of sorts, there are a few emulation projects that require a BIOS rom dump from the system being emulated. NullDC is one of these emulators. Considering it would be a Dreamcast ROM dump of SEGA's proprietary code, it woul...

Elder Scrolls MMO main story is single player

With such long development cycles, it's difficult to create an MMO that feels modern. As the game director of The Elder Scrolls Online, Matt Firor wants to ensure that the game is heeding lessons from past MMOs. Working extensively in this one genre, Firor thinks that he has pinpointed several key ...

Re: Help with upgrading my PC

The only thing I would say is to get an i3 instead of the Pentium. The cheapest one is only $20 more, but would give you a considerable speed increase. If you really can't swing the extra $20, take the RAM down to 1600 speed to save money. I'd rather not decrease the RAM quality as I had planned on...

Re: Help with upgrading my PC

My original modest gaming had a core2duo, the nvidia gt250 (originally 8600gt) , and only 3 gigs of ram. I bought it about 4 1/2 years ago, and the cpu + mobo crispified a little under 2 years ago. Having said that, I've completely changed my lineup here, and decided on the following. Motherboard: P...

Re: NesterDC SE: Master Library locally mirrored

The way Rapidshare's bandwidth performs for my PC, it'd take me 6-7 hours to download the file, and I'd be unable to browse the web in the meantime. Could someone re-upload it somewhere like Mediafire, or Filerio?

Re: Help with upgrading my PC

From what I remember, back at their debut, triple-core processors aren't worth shit, and were quickly skipped over. After doing some reading, I was under the impression that there weren't many games that utilized over 2-3 cores. Would it be worth the gamble IF the fourth core could be unlockable th...

Whatever happened to "Codename: Little Ninja"?

Hi. I was just wondering if any of the members here who like to keep in contact with DC game developers know what happened to the Yuan Works "Little Ninja" game. http://i.imgur.com/qRvu3.jpg http://i.imgur.com/taK0J.jpg http://i.imgur.com/dveRg.jpg Last news I could find on their site date...

Help with upgrading my PC

Hi. After my main pre-built gaming rig failed a couple years back, I had pretty much dropped out of playing current PC games. I ended up busting out an older tower from storage, with a *don't laugh* Pentium 4 CPU. As I was pretty much been sticking to emulation of older systems and indy games, this ...

Thanks to Christuserloeser's earlier post, I found this awesome three part series. YkExxkrMyU4 I've had similar experiences in the past. Re: Newb: Getting into Dreamcast homebrew

If GenesisPlusDC had an option to remember the last settings used to load the games, it would have made it a little more user friendly. As it was, it required that you change the options on the fly each time you loaded up the emu. If I remember correctly, there was a specific option that need to be ...

MD: Genesis Plus still is the best MD emu we have right now: http://dcemulation.org/?title=Genesis_Plus_DC but GensDC is currently still being worked on and I have to say that it looks rather promising. Yep. Unfortunately, my hopes were too high at the point I tried the latest preview version of GE...
