Probably due to abuse from previous owners. That's what you get with a used DC. Your best bet is just to buy another one, and hope for the best. Or get a new one and forget about it. New is the best bet. The only reason the one I bought (new) died is because of shoddy controllers and mods gone wrong.

Marvel vs. Capcom has been the only fighting game to really captivate me in any way. I mean, the game is fun. :) I think what makes the series so cool is the dynamic-ness of it all--you can create your own "moves" essentially, as the game allows all this wacked out shit to be strung togeth...

Not all games will recognise a VMU in ports 2,3, and 4. In some games it must be in Slot A1, even. I believe Shenmue requires the VMU to be in the first port. Halo 2 pretty much sucks ass with 16 players. Bungie needs to optimise the damn thing better; I played 32 player UT2004 matches at faster speeds oftentimes. And UT2004 arguably looks nicer than Halo 2.
