Hmm, I have a deal i could make, you pay shipping through paypal and send me an original sega dreamcast controller and I'll send you my NES Pad mod. I had to ruin an original DC controller to do it and now don't use it much. Basically it is free but I want you to pay shipping for your DC controller ...

Warmachine wrote:That looks incredible. I agree, if you make lots of them and sell them :o
But then it wouldn't be as cool because there would be a bunch of them. Better to make a guide on how to do it and maybe just sell the empty cases and buttons, or kits :)

The viewing angle on the LED is low, it is priced fairly high and doesn't give you an MCD rating that I saw (just looked quick). For LED's I'd recomend http://www.lsdiodes.com.

If your that worried about it and willing to pay someone else to solder it in for you why not spend the extra money on a solderless modchip instead?

I'd do it for you, never installed a PS2 mod chip before but I've worked on extremly delicate jobs before like soldering new micro switches into an MP3 player and can't see it being any kind of problem. The only problem would be the fact that you would have to buy the modchip, then ship it all the w...

Do you think if you got a little piece of solder stuck between the 2 parts of the tip that it would just keep heating up and not get cool like its supposed to?

Controller Port Leds W/O Holes

Does anyone know of a way to get controller port indicator leds without poking holes in the ports. I did it the way described in the tutorial and while it works sometimes it seems to wear off and I have to adjust the wires or poke new holes. It does look awesome when it works though and I just want ...

My friend had a GeForce TI card that had a faulty fan and it fucked itself over. Does your computer randomly restart? Especially while playing games?

I wouldn't use it for anything sensitive at all. I've heard that because of the way it works and the split it would easily ruin sensitive electronics by sending current that was supposed to heat the iron up through your electronics.

Oh, okay, your cable looked a lot like a normal NES cable. Unfortunatly mine is white and is going to need to be dremeled to the right size and painted black. I'm thinking I can squeeze a vmu in there with the controller if it comes down to me needing to change Nester settings if its posible, or may...

I tried to email you about this but apparently your hotmail inbox is full. I was looking through the tutorial and I noticed it didn't say anything on how you got the DC-NES pad mod to work through the NES's controller port. You refer to the NES mod on Devcast but that is for a 9 pin serial cable. In...

I was fooling around with my NES controller - Sega controller mod, the one off the main page and noticed something that would make the whole thing a hell of a lot easier. In the tutorial it tells you to scrape green film off the board and solder onto it. I did it exactly the way it describes and it ...

I had the exact same idea without the technical knowledge on how to execute it just a few weeks ago. That is if it is what I think it is since the link is dead.
