Re: SegaTech Mirror

Hey BlueCrab, Thanks for the link. I found a more thorough mirror here: https://archive.is/www.segatech.com This archive also includes pages which I believe have no direct links from the segatech.com page, specifically the Console Comparison page with the proportional graphs here: https://archive.is...

SegaTech Mirror

Segatech.com is offline. It was an interesting resource back in the day for comparison between the DC, PS2, GC and XBox. Did anyone archive the pages or is there a mirror of the site anywhere? Would like to browse it for memories sake.

Re: Dreamcast Resolution

Wow, I had no idea. Do you know what the name of the tech demo is or who made it? I'd like to look into it. Thanks!

Dreamcast Resolution

This is a technical question which doesn't apply only to the Dreamcast but any console. What prevents the Dreamcast from outputting a higher resolution than 640x480 if it is connected with VGA? Something I've always wondered.

Smiley, interesting site, freecycle. Makes a lot of sense to just give something you don't want to someone else instead of tossing it. I've always felt that eventually were just going to have to go and instead of fill up our land fills, reverse the process and sort what can be recycled that we've du...

lol, nah, this is all I got, a bunch of copies of corpse killer, and a soon to be receiving box of 32x's. It's the other way around though, I don't try and get rid of stuff nobody wants, usually I collect it . I don't think the 32x's are going to come with any wires and stuff but if anyone wants a b...

Sega CD games sealed CORPSE KILLER

I have CORPSE KILLER sealed for the sega cd 32x. I have quite a few so if you're interested in buying more then one, let me know. I wont mind trades if you have anything, ie other sega cd, 32x games, dc yadda yadda. I also have a lot of 32x's coming in, though I need to check if those work. Game shi...

How exactly did they develop this for the mega cd? Did they use original dev kits that are almost 15 years old or is their free dev software being circulated just like the DC community has done? While it is a complete rip off of chu chu rocket, it's still interesting to see what can be done on the h...

I believe I read somewhewre on these forums that a user oiled up the part of lens that rolls up and down and it eliminated the noise almost completely. I'm not saying for you to do it, but look into it first and if you find it, post it here. Thanks.

The comment about "give a dog a bone" is quite disrespectful...anyways BlackAura, thank you for your very informative post that shows I'm not the only one seeing this. I may have been a tad harsh on the wording, but like the rest of you, I am dissapointed and wish their was another or so g...

I'm not bitching because if I were, it wouldnt prove anything. I just think the filtering issue has been an overlooked thing on these forums because it affects all games, as you've said yourself about SA1

Not really, this isn't a definite fix as many have tried and few have gotten it to work. You would think that Sega at one point would have told us how to do it properly so we can get online but apparently not. Even a helpful list of which modems the DC can dial into would have been nice.

You dont have to be so blunt and say I'm wrong or what I've seen is completely wierd. My tv is just fine, and vga even better but still shows on both. Its as if theirs frames from bottom to top, and as each frame goes up, image quality reduces. I know its apparent in all games. Crazy taxi, skies of ...

As much as I would love to find out that the dc could run something the equivalent of the MG series, or xenosage which my brother brought home the other day and is visually amusing, I just dont think it would ever be so. I haven't seen this in the ps2 but the dreamcast runs some type of filtering wh...

Would learning to program first on the DC be a good idea?

As the question goes, would the DC be a good environment for me to learn to program on? I've been trying to pick up programming since my junior year in high school and have had a very hard time to pick up ANY amount of programming through the years. Its been more then 5 years since my junior year, a...

let us know if you get the DC<>PC thing working. In theory yes, it should work. In practice, I have yet to succeed or anyone else that I have heard try. Please inform the person asking next time for the dc-pc server that it is not a proven method. What really got my aggravated though, shouldn't Seg...

Aren't all SH-# cpus compatible with their predeccesors? Im not certain, but if thats true, wouldn't that make it easier to program a saturn emulator, despite the fact that it was difficult to write games for the console?
